change your address

update your address with HR

Changing your home address may prompt a change to your U.S. benefits - especially if you moved outside the area covered by your medical or dental plan. You have 31 days from the date you moved to make a change to your benefits, if necessary. For this reason, it's important to always report your address change right away. Even if your benefits aren't affected, reporting your address change to HR is critical to ensure that you continue to receive important communications about your benefits, and that other important HR and payroll processes can be accurately conducted.

  • Change your address in Workday from My HR on the Chevron intranet.
  • You can also update your address by phone with HR Shared Services. Call the HR Service Center and choose the Update Personal Data option from the phone menu to get started.

update your benefits

Changing your home address may prompt a change to your U.S. benefits - especially if you moved outside the area covered by your medical or dental plan. You have 31 days from the date you moved to make a change to your benefits, if necessary. For this reason, it's important to always report your address change right away. How to review and update your benefits

The first step is to update your address in the Chevron Workday system on My HR, as instructed above. Within a few days, your address change will be sent to the HR Service Center and the BenefitConnect website. Once this has occurred follow these steps to review your benefits and make changes, if necessary:

  1. Login to the BenefitConnect website. If a change to your benefits is required due to your address change, look for a call to action message on the home page directly under the main banner. You should also receive an email from the Chevron HR Service Center requesting you to login and make a change to your benefits.
  2. Remember, you have 31 days from the date of your address change to make any necessary elections.
  3. You're also encouraged to review your profile and communication preferences on the BenefitConnect website to ensure accuracy. Click your name in the upper right corner of the screen and choose My Information to get started.
  4. Lastly, if your Chevron medical plan administrator changed as a result of your move, be sure to call the HR Service Center after making elections to request a review of your coverage to determine if deductible and out-of-pocket expenses you already paid during the current plan year can be transitioned to your new claims administrator.

Keep in mind that it can take up to a week after your submit your elections on BenefitConnect (or with the HR Service Center) for the benefit plan administrators - such as Anthem, Express Scripts or Delta dental - to receive your enrollment changes and load your coverage into their systems.

If you have questions or need help with your benefits coverage, you can also call the HR Service Center.
