time coding tips

You do not need to enter company holidays as the time system automatically enters this time for you. If you're eligible for the Personal Choice Holiday (PCH), you need to enter this time off on your time sheet using the Holiday – Personal Choice absence code.

Chevron recognizes fixed date holidays in each operating area according to local significance. Fixed holidays observed may vary depending on work schedule. One floating holiday, called a Personal Choice Holiday (PCH), may also be available, depending on the local holiday schedule.

The Personal Choice Holiday (PCH), if part of your local holiday schedule, can be taken on a day of significance to you. It should be scheduled with your supervisor and taken every year.

  • During your initial year of hire, you will be eligible for the PCH if your employment begins before July 1
  • If you are hired after June 30, you will not be eligible for the PCH during your year of hire.
  • For more information about the PCH, refer to HR Policy 105 – Holidays (intranet).
  • Refer to Quick Start: How to Code Time in SAPHR to record when you take your PCH.
